My name is Roshan Kumar Sharma, and I’m excited to share a little about my journey so far.
I come from a background rooted in hard work, learning, and continuous growth. After completing my schooling, I successfully secured a first division in my twelfth-grade board examinations, laying a strong academic foundation for my future. Education has always been important to me, and with a passion for commerce and business, I pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) Honours degree. My years in college not only equipped me with theoretical knowledge but also helped me develop a practical outlook on finance, business management, and entrepreneurship.
Today, I am proud to say that I am a small business owner, running a juice shop in Liluah, Kolkata. Setting up and managing my juice shop has been an incredibly fulfilling experience. It’s not just a business; it’s a place where I meet and interact with people from all walks of life. Every day brings new challenges and learning opportunities — from understanding customer preferences to managing inventory, budgeting, and ensuring the best quality products for my customers. Through this experience, I have learned the true value of dedication, customer service, and innovation in business.
However, I believe that growth should never stop. The world around us is rapidly evolving, especially with the rise of technology and digital platforms. Recognizing the immense potential of the digital world, I have decided to take the next big step toward expanding my skills. I am currently pursuing a Digital Marketing course with UpGrad. This decision comes from my desire to bridge traditional business practices with modern online strategies.
The digital marketing course has opened up a new world of possibilities for me — from social media marketing and SEO to content creation and performance analytics. I aim to apply these new skills not only to grow my current business but also to explore broader opportunities in the digital space. Whether it’s promoting my juice shop online, reaching a larger audience, or even assisting other businesses with their digital marketing needs, I am excited about the journey ahead.
At heart, I am someone who believes in hard work, continuous learning, and positivity. I am passionate about entrepreneurship, fascinated by the power of digital innovation, and committed to making a difference — no matter how small. Every experience, whether in academics, business, or digital learning, has taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of dreaming big while staying grounded.
